100 Years and Going Strong: 
     2015 marks the 100th year that Hurst-Weiss Insurance and Investment Services has been in business. Through our long history we have seen many changes in the insurance business. Back in the day, insurance policy premiums were rated by hand on paper by the agents with premiums being collected and forward to the carriers. Now everything is rated by computer with premiums being direct billed by the carriers to the client. There was a time when claims used to handled and sometimes paid directly paid by your agent.      Unfortunately, in some ways the insurance business has become a lot less personal. For some insurance carriers, insurance has become more about marketing than about knowing your clients and providing solutions for their individual situations.      Fortunately, Hurst-Weiss has continued to stick to our roots when in comes to our clients. We take the time to learn about our client's lives and needs when we work with them to put together and adjust their insurance plans. When our clients have a claim, we are there to help guide them through the process. On many occasions insurance adjusters have tried to deny coverage on a claim and we have interceded to get the claim covered by showing them in the policy that there was, indeed, coverage.       When I came into the Agency in 1990, one of the many things that Ollie Hurst taught me was that you have to take care of the client first. If you do that, everything else will take care of itself. Fortunately that model continues to work for us, as I do not believe there are very many insurance agencies that have been around longer.      As we move into our 100th year in business I wanted to take this time to thank our clients, business partners and employees for your support. Your loyalty is greatly appreciated and we look forward to working with you for another century.
